The Florida Department of Revenue May 21 published index prices to calculate the gross receipts tax for the period July 1 through June 30, 2022, on the sale or transportation of natural or manufactured gas, and on transportation of electricity. Beginning with customer bills dated on or after July 1, distribution companies must use the index prices when completing the excise tax return. The natural or manufactured gas index prices per 1,000 cubic feet are $22.96 (residential), $11.50 (commercial), and $6.14 (industrial).
