Skin Care tips for teenagers
To begin with, the first step to skin care is cleansing and for teens, it is no exception. Make sure to wash your face twice (morning and evening). Always follow this order – facewash, toner, and moisturizer.
Now, another skincare mantra is to stay hydrated. It is because it helps increase your skin’s elasticity and keeps it moisturized for longer. So, try to drink a minimum of eight glasses of water every day. Also, incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables such as cucumber, watermelon, tomatoes, etc., in your diet daily.
It’s also true that since it is extremely hot outside, you prefer to stay indoors with ACs on. But even when you are at home, use sorbet or body butter on your body after taking a bath or before going to sleep at night. However, as a teenager, stay away from oily products as they can cause acne breakouts on the skin.
Even if you plan to step out, don’t do it without sunscreen. Also, your lips can easily dry out and lose moisture. So, always keep lip butter, infused with the power of fruits or superfoods, in your bag and use it frequently when lips are dried.
Besides, it is equally important to take care of the skin around your eyes. Use ice or eye packs if you feel puffiness. Also, restrict watching TV or using mobile phones all the time. As teenagers have young and immature skin, they should only use natural products to keep skin naturally moisturized. Never use harsh chemicals on your skin. It is also important to know your skin type, then only you will be able to look after your skin properly. So, waste no time, and identify your skin type for developing the perfect skincare routine.
